Camera, location, recognition, and collection help for MonuDex on iPhone.

Quick fixes

Common questions.

MonuDex can be explored without permissions. Camera and precise location are required only to verify a visit.

The camera does not open

Open iPhone Settings, choose MonuDex, and enable Camera. Return to MonuDex and open the Camera tab again. The iOS Simulator cannot provide a real camera feed; use a physical iPhone for capture testing.

Location verification says I am too far away

In iPhone Settings, choose Privacy & Security, Location Services, MonuDex, then select While Using the App and enable Precise Location. Stay in a lawful public area near the monument and wait a moment for GPS accuracy to settle.

The detector cannot recognize the monument

Keep the landmark large and unobstructed in the frame, use good lighting, and avoid heavy zoom. For an unlock selfie, include both your face and the monument. Recognition can be uncertain; retake the image from another public viewpoint.

How do I remove a queued photo?

Open MonuDex, go to Me, open Settings, and choose Delete uploaded selfies. This removes verification images waiting locally for a network retry.

Where is my collection stored?

The current version stores collection progress locally on your iPhone and does not require an account. Deleting MonuDex also deletes that local progress.

How do I report an incorrect monument or image?

Email the monument name, country, and a short description of the issue to support@monudex.com. Do not include a selfie unless support specifically asks for one.

Still need help?

Email the MonuDex team.

Include your iPhone model, iOS version, and the monument involved. Never send passwords, verification codes, or unnecessary personal information.
